{"id":103,"date":"2012-04-06T17:54:06","date_gmt":"2012-04-06T20:54:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.peipsychology.org\/peiprb\/?page_id=103"},"modified":"2024-03-19T20:00:44","modified_gmt":"2024-03-19T23:00:44","slug":"complaints","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.peipsychology.org\/peiprb\/complaints\/","title":{"rendered":"Complaints"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Prince Edward Island Psychologists Registration Board is responsible for investigating and addressing complaints made against registrants&#8211; psychologists, psychological associates, and candidates.<\/p>\n<p>Before contacting the Board, a concerned person might first speak with the registrant.\u00a0 It is possible that the registrant is unaware of the concern, and possible that the matter might be resolved directly.<\/p>\n<p>Before lodging a formal complaint, a concerned person might first speak with the Board&#8217;s Registrar, who would be able to consult about how to proceed.\u00a0 The current Board Registrar is Dr. Philip Smith, who can be contacted at <strong>(902) 566-0549<\/strong>, and peiprb@gmail.com.<\/p>\n<p>Formal complaints must be made in writing and signed, and must include permission for the Board to share a copy of the complaint with the registrant.\u00a0 The complaint letter would detail the concern(s), and might be accompanied by relevant supporting documents.\u00a0 Complaints can be emailed to peiprb@gmail.com or mailed to:<\/p>\n<p>PEI Psychologists Registration Board<br \/>\nP.O.
